, What is St Peter St (Maidstone) Flat Management Co. Ltd?
SPS(M)FMCL was created in December 2003 by Fairview New Homes to manage the 230 apartments of the development. Each property owner of Scotney Gardens is a member and in September 2006 each member was invited to attend the first Annual General Meeting. In October 2006, approximately 10 members attended this meeting from which 6 were elected to form a Board of Directors. The main function of Directors is to make
decisions on behalf of all members.
Why are the Bin Stores Locked?
The bin stores are locked at all times to avoid opportunists who have been known to occupy these areas overnight, and all tenants / Lessees are requested to ensure they are kept locked at all times. The bin stores of Scotney Gardens are locked with a standard issue key, provided upon purchase of your property. Replacement keys can be purchased at a cost of £6.00. We would like to remind all residents that rubbish bags placed outside of the bin stores
attract foxes and other vermin and we would therefore request that all refuse is placed inside the bins provided.
What can I do with Large Items of Rubbish?
If residents have any large items of rubbish to dispose of, please do not leave them in the bin store area. The refuse collectors will not take these items. For bulky items we can arrange though our agent that the items can be removed at a reasonable price. For this service call 01622 688 499. Do not just place the items in the bin shed without advising us. We would have to dispose of these goods and the result is that all members of Scotney Gardens would have to pay to get rid of your rubbish which would be reflected in your service charge.
Does a Communal Satellite System exist?
Yes, but please remember that individual satellite dishes are not permitted on any area of the development as per the Terms and Conditions of the property lease. A communal system has been fitted within each block to serve all residents satellite needs, this includes the installation of cabling for Sky Q. If you have any reception problems with your satellite system, prior to submitting a maintenance report to us, may we suggest that you first establish that the fault does not lie within your own satellite equipment by contacting the Sky (or other) diagnostic technical support line and following the suggested procedure, otherwise you may be charged an abortive call out fee if the fault is with your own equipment.
Where can I park my Bicycle?
Bike sheds are on site and a key is available from the office.
Where is the office?
The office is located under the archway between the blocks of 196-201 and 205-215. It is on the right hand side and marked “OFFICE”
