To date the windows of all 230 flats have been replaced.
This has recently been installed, so now all 230 flats are able to access it if required.
Many positive comments have been received about the pruning of over 80 trees at Scotney Gardens, together with the hedges these now have shape and enhance the ambience of Scotney Gardens.
Extra green bins have been obtained for the disposal of recycling. Please read the notices regarding the items which can be recycled. Lessees are reminded not to put black bin bags in the green bins as they will be rejected and the whole bin not emptied. Please remember to flatten any large cardboard boxes you wish to leave in the bin sheds for the recycling men to collect and make sure they are stacked neatly.
We are occasionally get rubbish left outside bin sheds, this unfortunately attracts vermin like foxes and rats who often rip open the bags . Remember the mess has to be cleared up by our staff. If you have lost your key please contact the office for a replacement at the cost of £6.00.
Please use the ashtrays provided. Remember if you cannot dispose of your cigarette properly we have to do it which increases the cost of the service charge. Motorists are also asked not to empty their ashtrays in the car park. If you see this happening please advise the office who together with help from CCTV will try and identify the culprit.
Rubbish out of windows
There are more and more cases of Lessees throwing rubbish out of their windows, cigarette packets, cigarette butts, food packaging, nappies etc. We want a nice clean environment. If you see it happening – report it.
They have to be kept on a lead at all times whilst on site. Dogs are not allowed on the lawns. Remember the lawns are used by residents including small children.
We would remind residents that if they receive a parking ticket they must contact UKPC. The management company cannot handle fines received.
