What if I lose a permit?
Replacement permits will now be charged at £30 per permit. This is to cover administration costs and encourage landlords to get permits back from departing tenants. If you require a replacement permit please contact us at the office.
What are the Parking Provisions?
There are 225 car parking spaces on this development of 230 flats. Each Lessee has been issued with 2 parking permits, parking spaces are not allocated or guaranteed, we have a first come first served system in place. In order to prevent unauthorised parking by non-residents, a parking control scheme is in force. UKPC attend the site on a regular basis, and vehicles found without a valid Scotney Gardens permit clearly displayed in the front windscreen area will be issued with a ticket, and subsequently fined, this may be reduced if paid within 14 days. Please note that vehicles not parked within a recognised bay or parking area, thus preventing reasonable access to other vehicles that wish to park or impeding the Emergency Services, are also at risk of being issued with a ticket and fine. This may include if a vehicle is blocking one of the communal entrances.
Are Commercial Vehicles allowed?
Please note that according to the Terms and Conditions of the Property Lease imposed by the Landowner/Freeholder, NO commercial vehicles or untaxed vehicles are to be parked on site at any time. Should commercial vehicles or untaxed vehicles be found on site, they will be issued a ticket, even if permits are displayed, or in extreme cases removed from site.
Does SPS(M)FMCL Profit from Tickets Issued?
No, we do not issue the tickets ourselves and do not take a profit or commission for them. If you have been issued with a ticket and feel you have a genuine case then we can only recommend you contact UKPC as soon as possible to lodge an appeal. In order to avoid any potential for tickets to be given in error please ensure your permit is visible (preferably stuck to the windscreen) and you are parked within one of the marked bays.
Are the six bays in front of the gates for visitors?
Please note that the six bays outside the gates form part of the 225 parking space allocation for Scotney Gardens, and as such are subject to the same permit display and parking restrictions in force for the rest of the development. They are actively included within the UKPC scope of enforcement now that the appropriate warning signs have been installed.
